Network Compliance & Official Guidelines

Financial & Settlement
1. If this is a "Zero-Liability Gateway" and you do not hold our funds, how exactly is the 13% SaaS infrastructure fee processed?
The deduction is fully automated via Stripe Connect. Upon a guest's payment, the transaction is instantly split at the protocol level. 87% of the total revenue is routed directly to the hotel node's linked bank account, while the 13% infrastructure fee is routed to Legates Gilt. We never hold your principal funds in our ledger.
2. Does the 13% charge include Stripe's credit card processing fees, or is that billed separately to our hotel?
The 13% SaaS infrastructure charge is strictly for the Legates Gilt network usage. Stripe's standard payment processing fees (typically around 3% depending on region) are deducted automatically by Stripe from the hotel's 87% portion during payout.
Data & Privacy
3. How can the system claim "Zero Data Retention" if you need to process our guests' booking details and payments?
Zero Data Retention applies to our central gateway servers. We do not store sensitive guest financial data (like credit card numbers) or build marketing databases. The payload is encrypted (256-Bit SSL) and passed securely to Stripe for processing, and the booking confirmation is synced directly to your hotel's internal system. We only retain the encrypted transaction hash for ledger synchronization.
4. What happens if the node network goes offline during a transaction? Will the hotel be liable for double bookings?
No. Our Global Node Network operates on instantaneous ledger synchronization. If a connection drops before Stripe validates the payment webhook, the session is autonomously locked and the transaction auto-reverts. Zero liability falls on the hotel.
System Access & Infrastructure
5. Why do we need a "Unique Registration ID" to log in? Why can't we just use a standard email and password?
Legates Gilt is a closed B2B infrastructure, not a public OTA (Online Travel Agency). The Unique Registration ID (e.g., LG-HOTEL-XXX) acts as a cryptographic key assigned only to vetted, premium luxury hospitality entities. This ensures network security and prevents unauthorized access to the settlement gateway.
6. What does "Real Time Price Instantaneous ledger synchronization" actually mean for my hotel's daily operations?
It means your room rates and availability are updated across the global infrastructure without the typical 15 to 30-minute delays experienced with traditional channel managers. If a room is booked, the entire global network reflects the closure instantly, preventing overbooking and rate disparity.
Cancellations & Refunds
7. How are guest cancellations and refunds handled if they book through the Legates Gilt public gateway?
As a Legates Gilt integrated node, your property is fully protected by our universal Instant Pass-Through & Zero-Retention Terms. Before any transaction is executed, all guests are explicitly mandated to acknowledge and agree to a Strict No-Refund Policy. Therefore, all confirmed direct bookings routed to your connected Stripe account are final, strictly non-refundable, and automatically dispute-resistant.
Server & Database
8. Is our hotel required to maintain our own servers or hire IT staff to connect to the Global Node Network?
No. Legates Gilt provides a fully autonomous cloud infrastructure utilizing secure Supabase backend nodes. Your property only requires a standard internet connection to authenticate via the Unique Registration ID. All heavy lifting, including database management, synchronization, and 256-Bit SSL encryption, is handled entirely by our central gateway.
Onboarding & Activation
9. We have signed up via the Node portal. How long does it take to receive our Unique Registration ID?
Node activation is not automatic. Every applicant undergoes a strict vetting process to ensure compatibility with our premium B2B infrastructure network. Once your property is verified and approved, your cryptographic Unique Registration ID will be dispatched via secure email within 24 to 48 operational hours.
